Oakline is a small joinery studio in Subiaco, Perth — founded in 2006 by cabinet-maker Tom Aldridge. We design and build every kitchen in our own workshop, two kilometres from where most of our clients live.

We don't outsource to flat-pack factories. We don't offer a range — we offer a conversation. Every kitchen begins with a drawing and ends with a space that is precisely yours.

Each project starts the same way: a long conversation, a site visit, and a blank page. We make kitchens, wardrobes, bathrooms, libraries, and built-in storage — all from the same workshop, all to the same standard.

Walk-in robes, built-in wardrobes, linen cupboards, mudrooms, and bespoke shelving. Designed to the millimetre so nothing feels like an afterthought.

We only work
with things
that age well.

The materials we specify are chosen for how they look in twenty years, not just twenty minutes after installation. Nothing laminated, nothing disposable.

  • American White Oak
    Solid and veneer. The warmth that defines the Oakline look — rift-cut for tight grain.
  • Honed Marble & Granite
    Benchtops and splashbacks. We source direct from WA stone yards — no middleman mark-up.
  • Smoked & Fumed Oak
    For darker palettes. Reacts with the tannins in the timber itself — no stain, no fade.
  • Two-Pac Polyurethane
    Our painted option. Applied in the spray booth, not on site — a finish that lasts decades.
How it works

From first call
to finished kitchen.

We run every project on the same four-stage process. No surprises, no scope creep. You know exactly where you are at every step.

Stage 01

Consultation & Brief

A one-hour visit to your home. We measure, photograph, and talk through how your kitchen is actually used — not how you wish it were. No charge. No obligation.

Stage 02

Design & Drawings

We produce detailed drawings and material samples. You see exactly what you're getting before a single board is cut. Two revision rounds included.

Stage 03

Build & Finishing

Every component is made in our Subiaco workshop over 10 – 14 weeks. You're welcome to visit during the build — most clients do.

Stage 04

Installation & Handover

Our own team installs — we never subcontract the fit-out. We stay until everything is perfect, then we hand you the keys and a 10-year structural warranty.
